For Source Base Question Skills

1. Inference Question.You must be wondering, how to answer inference question?What are inference question?I will hereby tell you.

For inference question, you have to INFER the question.Firstly, Infer the question and give evidence FROM THE SOURCE!!

How do we know they are inference question?

To know, you have to see your question.

Question with, WHAT/WHY = inference question.

Now, how are you going to answer the question?very simple.

- what does the source tell you about? (read the source)

- why is the write....? (Give purpose of the source!)

- Is the writer a supporter or an opponent...? (Give purposes of the source!)*always give purpose and evidence for any phrase you use!

You can always write The phrase "................" tells me that ________.

The evidence is ".................." . write 2 of such sentences, (both phrase and evidence)and write a conclusion will do. this will secure you with a 5 full marks for inference question. 2. Compare and Contrast. For this skill, it will be a bit difficult =p (but no worries!)

Similarities/Differences in terms of

Provenance - who wrote the source? (can be found at the heading of the source!)Content -

Content -

1. Similarity -> Provide evidence from both sources!

2. Difference -> Provide evidence from both source*There must be a basis for comparison!E.g: Both sources discuss the affordability of health care in Singapore. Source A states that health care is affordable while Source B states otherwise.

Tone -Some examples of tones:- Optimistic, excitement, happiness, approval, satisfaction- Pessimistic, sadness, despair, frustration, biased- objective, calm, neutral- Persuasive, convincing, complaining, explanatoryYou have to use tone to describe how the source is feeling.The tone of the source is frustrating, because of which phrase. then evidence it.

Purpose

-why did the writers write the source?Look at the provenance to get the purpose.

how to know which is the question asking you to answer for compare and contrast?

When the question asks you to study two sources, that is a compare and contrast questions.

- In what ways are the two sources similar/different?

- How similar/different are the two sources?

- Does source A support Source B?

To master Physics.

You have to know all your formulas well.

Knowing your formulas well means,knowing how to use it,not only use it, but to use it with others formulas too = multi formulas.

Sometimes, you will see F=ma .

F= Resultant force

M= Mass

A = Acceleration

Another formula that has acceleration too.and thats,

a= v-u over t .

a = acceleration

v = velocity

u = initial

t = time

therefore, this conclude that you can find acceleration using the formula of a=v-u over t!

Dont be SI SI BAN BAN dont always, f=ma means f=ma!!!

GET IT!!! ^_^Knowing the formulas well is just your first few steps to master physics.

Secondly, we have to know the SI units!

Knowing the SI UNITS makes our life easier.

Example: we suddenly forgot all about our formulas.

but , we know our units! And, that is where the help comes in!

:BTherefore, SI UNITS ARE IMPORTANT, not only IMPORTANT,it is VERY VERY important.

because, we neeed to write all our SI units in order to get our fullmarks!!!

Without your SI UNIT, you will be deducted by 1 mark.

DO YOU WANT YOUR 1 MARK? Yes, of course you want, cos I know YY is greedy :)

Next, we have to memorise our laws in physics.

Laws like so difficult to memorise!

But wait a minute, in the actual fact, it is very easy to memorise.

Because, the LAWS ARE ALL LINK TO YOUR FORMULAS!= EASY EASY LEMON SQUEEZY . (Y) !

After knowing all this 3 steps,now, you have to learn the theory part which is the most difficult part.

And, now, Im here to tell you how to study the theory part.Just read through topics on theory , example : kinetic particle theory.

this is a bit similar to chemistry, however, physics is always easier than chemistry :D (I don't agree with him, Chemistry is easier compare to physic.)

Just remember all the keywords and fix it like a puzzle will do .EASY? :DI know it's very easy. And, thats all for physics.(kill me please)

What marks YY going to get,it will depend on HOW HE FOLLOW MY STUDY TIPS.
